I am an avid photographer so displaying pictures in my home is a must! The problem is you can't have picture frames everywhere.
So thats where these come in... not quite average and they can be functional too, in the case of the canned photos... until you get hungry that is.

The block mounted frame we are simply doing the unobvious, sticking the photo on the outside of the frame!

Frame (Racket to hold photo 10x15cm from Ikea)

Glue
Craft Knife
Photocopy machine.
Can Frame
Before Beginning:

Find some photos that can be cropped into a landscape format without losing any or too much of the subject.

Can Frame
Step 1:

Copy photos onto paper, they will need to be approx 300mm long and 100mm high to wrap all the way around the can.

Cut the photos to size.

Step 2:

Glue the shorter edges of the white side and then wrap it around the can making sure that it is straight. The photo will overlap and should stick when you do press firmly.
Block Mounted Pictures
Before Beginning:

Get a couple of your favorite photos printed to 5”x7” with a white border, most professional printers will do this for you (I use Joes on Wardour st.)
Block Mounted Pictures
Step 1:

Paint the frames white so that they will blend with the white border of the photo.

Step 2:

Apply glue to the back of the photo and then, making sure you have the photo the right way up, place the frame centered on the photo.

Step 3:

Trim off any overlap so that the edge of the photo is flush with the edge of the frame.

The frame we suggested should be the right size, otherwise buy a frame which is roughly the size of your photo.
